2022 Year End Tournament

Welcome to the year end tournament for our in-house leagues, taking place July 29-31th. Below you will find everything you need to enjoy a weekend of great baseball for our house league teams. We are using the Tourney Machine platform for the tournament this year. Schedules can be found online at the link below or using the mobile app. There will be a $1 gate fee for attendees over the age of 12 on Saturday. Players and coaches will not be charged a gate fee.

Tournament Information

Tournament play will follow regular season league rules. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Any player, coach, or spectator ejected from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct will not be allowed to re-enter the tournament. All ejections will be reported to the house league committee. Umpire discretion is final in all cases. All protests must be filed with a house league committee member and umpire, and settled within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the game under protest. The official tournament schedule will be posted near the tournament committee tent of the complex. Umpires will report the score, but it is also the responsibility of each team to track the number of innings pitched for both teams. This will need to be reported to the tournament committee at the tent after each game. Keep this information available for review in case a question about the number of innings pitched arises. Failure to have this information documented may result in lost pitching opportunities.

  • The Northwoods will continue to operate under the 4 player pitches and 4 coach pitches rules. Players can pitch 2 innings per game, 4 per day, and 6 for the entire tournament.
  • Minors and majors can pitch 3 innings per game, 6 per day, and 9 for the entire tournament.

The house league committee will also maintain a copy of the number of pitches near the committee tent area by the official tournament schedule. Games will have hard stop at 1 hour and 45 minutes for pool play on Friday and Saturday. In the event a game is mid-inning at this stop, the final score will be the score after the previous full inning that was completed. All games on Sunday will play to the completion of the game, regardless of time.

Tie Breakers For Seeding:
1. Best Record
2. Head to Head
3. Least Runs Allowed in Total Pool Play
4. Most Runs Scored
5. Coin flip

In a three way tie, runs against and then runs scored will determine the number one seed. Then the tie breaker will divert back to head to head to determine seeds two and three.

Unfortunately, there will not be concessions at this year's tournament. Please plan accordingly with snacks and fluids!
